Collective Kindness Project is designed to provide cash assistance to the households who are in need as a result of the earthquakes in Kahramanmaraş, which took place in February 2023.
The assistance is provided to the households who resided in the affected regions and received assistance from some of the social assistance provided within the framework of neediness through the Social Assistance and Solidarity Foundations (SASF) in these regions before the earthquake and whose houses/buildings were moderately or severely damaged.
The cash assistance provided under the project is funded by the World Food Program (WFP) and the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) and is carried out by the Türk Kızılay , WFP and IFRC with the support of Ministry of Family and Social Services.

Households who have received a once-off earthquake assistance from the Government will not be excluded from assistance.
For those identified as eligible to this project, this assistance will not affect other forms of assistance received from other actors.
You will receive an SMS from Türk Kızılay on the number you provided to SASF, informing you that you have been included in the project. This message will include information on how to redeem your assistance.
The amount of asisstance to be paid to the eligible households is 3.000 TRY per month per household. This assistance will last for two months and will amount to 6,000 TRY in total.
Payments are planned to be made on various days during the month. Households found eligible for the project will be informed via SMS before receiving payment.
Payments provided by the project are planned to take two months. The temporary assistance will start in April and end in May 2023, with assistance provided once a month, for a period of two months.
The assistance can be withdrawn from all Halkbank ATMs throughout the country. In addition to Halkbank ATMs, withdrawals can be made from ATMs of Ziraat Bank, Vakıfbank, Vakıf Katılım Bankası, Ziraat Participation Bank, PTT and Emlak Katılım Banks which is a member of ""TAM""* (ATM's which has TAM sign on it).

You will receive an SMS from Halkbank to withdraw your assistance. This message will include a personal reference number. You will have to go to a Halkbank ATM with the reference number and your mobile phone to cash out your assistance. You can withdraw from the ""Cardless Transactions"" menu from the ""Withdrawal with ID No"" step. Keep the SMS until your transaction is complete. Please note that ATMs might get crowded on the day this SMS is sent, but remember you should cash out your first assistance within three weeks.
Yes, the total amount of assistance will have to be redeemed at once and each reference number can only be used once.

You will receive one reminder SMS from KIZILAYBİZ after you receive bank reference number SMS from Halkbank. If you have not withdrawn your assistance within the dates informed by Halkbank SMS, the number will no longer be valid and you will not be able to get your cash.

Türk Kızılay has access to some of the personal data of eligible households to ensure to contact you via SMS. The other partner institutions (IFRC and WFP) do not have access to your personal data. The Halkbank have access to your ID number, name, surname and mobile phone number so that they can send you an SMS for the reference number. The SASFs have all of the personal data you provided to them at the time of your original application for assistance over the past year.
Your personal data is protected within the scope of strict confidentiality principles and Data Protection Laws of the Republic of Turkiye (Social Assistance and Solidarity Law No. 3294 and Law No. 6698 on Data Sharing) and is not shared with any person or institution other than the participating organizations.
